We drove my little car to Idaho Falls, packing 4 people and 2 dogs into the little thing. Saved on gas though! We got there a little before 10:00 pm on Friday night, and just hung out for a bit. The next morning we got ready to go on our hike. We drove though a tiny little town called Kilgore, Idaho, and then down a dirt road that led about 4 miles back into the wilderness to the trailhead. We ate lunch right before we started, since we didn't get there until about 12:30pm. Then we were on our way. It was a nice hike. Even the dogs enjoyed it. We had Duke, Daisy, Bandit and Porter. We didn't even have to keep them on leashes, except once when we came across a family who had a little girl that was terrified of dogs. Poor thing. Her parent's said she got attacked by a cow dog and bit really bad on the face like a week before. No wonder she was freaked out. So we had a great time and the weather was perfect. A bit of a breeze, and just a tad under 80 degrees. After the hike, we drove back to their house and ate some dinner. Then we watched Hitch--great movie. The next day we had a BBQ with my dad's cousin's family, who also live in Idaho Falls. Here are some pictures of the fun we had.
